The proceedings and opening up of the international conference was started from 8:30 am with the registration of the delegates at the registration desk placed in front of the auditorium of KIB. Plenary Session-I was the opening session of the conference held from 9:00 – 9:20 am in the Auditorium of KIB. Prof Nazmun Nahar spoke on the topic “Rights of the Newborn” and Chairperson of the session was Prof Hamidur Rahman. Update Session-I was held from 9:20 – 9:50 am in the Auditorium of KIB. Prof MAK Azad Chowdhury and Dr Mizanur Rahman were the speakers of the session and they spoke on “Low cost management of low birth weight babies” and “An overview of neonatal sepsis” respectively. Chairpersons of the session were Prof Nurul Islam and Prof SM Shahnawaz Bin Tabib.
